Hello everyone,
Welcome to North America’s first chessboxing club.
Here’s a little about why I started the club and what we’re going to do.
Technology has reached a point where no human can beat computers at chess and the sport of kings is dominated by machines.
The culture of boxing is smothered by pay-per-view flamboyance and big payday promoters while appreciation and popular practice of the sport have floundered.
Now is the time for chessboxing.
By combining the fundamental beauty and challenge of both sports chessboxing is a renaissance of the Greek human ideals that guided the Olympics of antiquity while creating the opportunity for anyone to train and rise to the challenge.
The combination of the physical and the mental makes the practice of the sport an act of art, passion, and energy.
The purpose of this club is to popularize the sport in America while training fighters to compete against the Old World’s toughest and brightest athletes to create America’s first chessboxing champion.
I think it’ll be fun.
Tell your friends.
